If you'd like your boat name or lettering to stand out with a clean, professional finish, a background panel is the perfect addition.

Instead of individual cut letters applied directly to the hull, a background panel adds a solid vinyl shape behind the text — giving the look of a printed sign or name board. It's ideal if your hull colour makes lettering hard to read, or if you simply want a more polished, finished appearance.

How it works

Your lettering is cut as normal, but we can also cut a solid vinyl backing shape to match — slightly larger than the text itself. The two are applied together, creating a sharp contrast between the panel colour and the lettering colour.

• A classic "board" look on narrowboats and cruisers
